Kaylee's Thought's 5/23/1999 - 6/13/1999 I know I know. Once again I have put of updating this page and you are probably a little disappointed in me. That is ok though, you no why? Well, I am waiting for an answer. I guess that is a ,"no." In that case I will tell you why it is ok that you are a little disappointed in me. First of all, it is ok because I am under the age of six months. Second of all, I am such an adorable little girl that you all will find it in your hearts to forgive me. And last of all, have you ever heard of the saying it is my party and I will cry if I want? Well guess what, it is my page and I will take as long as I need to! Ha ha, now you all know who is in charge. I think I even have mommy and daddy trained, but it is hard to tell because it is still too early. As you can tell, we have decided to create some pages with sounds of mine on them for you to hear. I think it is a good idea, but I do not like getting tape recorders and microphones shoved into my face to get these sounds. You all are pretty lucky that I am letting mommy and daddy getting away with this idea. I do get to suck on the microphone every once in awhile though, so I guess that is a plus for me. You would not believe how much has happened both with me and to me since I have last written my thoughts down for you to read. I will start with the most amazing thing first. At three months old I am starting to get a bunch of teeth! Yes, I did say teeth. Not just my front ones either. Mommy and daddy let me bite down on their finger every once in awhile, and they say that they are definitely there. I do not know how long they will take to break through, but they are on there way! I am starting to hold onto my own toys now. I really like it when mommy and daddy put me in my exersaucer thingy. There is all sorts of buttons and sliding toys for me to push and move back and forth. It is good that I am learning to push all these buttons now because I have seen how mommy and daddy turn the TV on. In case you did not know, I am a huge couch potato right now. I LOVE to watch TV, and it will stop me from crying 75 percent of the time. Now that I am learning how to push buttons, I will be able to push all the cool buttons on daddy remote. There must be about a hundred of them on that thing to. Can you say hours of fun? My balance is getting better. When ever daddy holds my hands while I am standing, he likes to let go and catch me as I fall. I am starting to stay standing longer before starting to fall. I think that is a good sign. Mommy seems to think that it is a bad sign. She says if daddy keeps doing stuff like that I will be walking before normal kids do. I do not think daddy believes her though. I do pretty good at sitting up to. Mommy and daddy always laugh at me though because they will sit me up and then sit back and watch. After I move a little I start to lose my balance and slowly begin to fall forwards. I guess it is kind of like doing stomach crunches while sitting. Once my face is plastered to the couch, one of them usually comes and sits me back up so that they can watch it happen all over again. What parents I have! I am not eating that much cereal anymore, but now mostly formula. I guess mommy can not keep up with me. If she thinks this is bad, she has another thing coming, like when I start walking. Anyway, I also had some bottled baby food for the first time last night. In fact, mommy is giving me some right now as I write. Daddy got to choose what I was going to eat and he picked bananas. I did not even get the first try, not even the second! Mommy opened the bottle and my mouth just started to water seeing something new that I was going to get to try. Then I saw the spoon dip into the jar and come out with some pudding looking stuff. She started to move the spoon closer as my mouth opened wide waiting for the new taste. Next thing I knew, the spoon was headed for and right into daddy's mouth!!! It was my food, why do I not get the first try? I let it go this time as I watched the spoon go back into the jar and then out with more new food on it. This was it. I was going to get to try bananas. Nope, that spoon went right to mommy's mouth. Again the spoon went into the jar and out with more food on it. No big deal though, Grandma and Grandpa Sachau were here and with my luck they would get to try it before me too. Then all of a sudden that spoon stared me in the eyes as I opened my mouth wide open and got to taste bananas out of a jar for the first time, and before Grandma and Grandpa! Boy was it good too, and yes, I am still eating right now as I write. Daddy has been hard at work on the yard lately. He is putting in a sprinkler system that he says I will be able to play in during the summer when I get older. It makes no sense though because at the same time him and mommy talk about going to find a new house. Like today, we spent a couple of hours going through models. We found one that we all really liked for just over 200, and it was twice the size of this house with four bedrooms. That would give me my own room, mommy and daddy their own room, office/my future brothers own room, and a guest room. No that does not mean that I have a brother on the way, after all, it could be a sister. Ha ha fooled you. No, I do not have any brothers or sisters coming so do not get the wrong idea. We went to a good friends wedding the other week. Mommy was in the wedding so I did not get to see much of her that day. Daddy got me all dressed up though, no make-up thank goodness, and off we went with Grandma and Grandpa, Bill and Ev. I did not have to good of a time at first, I even started to cry during the ceremony so daddy had to hurry up and take me inside. As the night went on though the happier I got. Our table was right by a floor vent and daddy got a good idea. He had mommy hold me on the vent and he took a picture of me as my dress was flying up. He said it was a Kaylee Monroe picture, what ever that means? Last I knew my name was Kaylee Westmoreland. Anyway, Fathers Day is just around the corner and we will be celebrating it with Grandma and Grandpa Sachau in Camarillo. Then the next big holiday is the fourth of July where I will get to go on my first plane ride. We will be spending that with Grandma and Grandpa Hornig in Kentucky! I can not wait to see them again! Well, I better go and talk with mommy to see what we are going to get daddy for Fathers Day. Talk to you all later!
