Kaylee's Thought's 4/10/1999 - 4/16/1999 It has been a rough week for me! Between mommy and daddy always on the phone with each other all day worried about day care and mommy taking me to different peoples houses just made my week a hectic one. Plans fell apart for mommy being able to take me to work with her when she first goes back, and that hit them hard. They all of a sudden found out that they had only a few days to find day care for me. Mommy was busy all week working on finding one, but everyone seemed to be full. I am number 20 on the waiting list for military day car, but who knows how long that will take. Eventually mommy found a day care with a opening, actually she found a few, but they were all up around $200 a week! Who would have thought that I would have such expensive needs at this age? Mommy did find one that was $95 a week, but she ended up filling the position. Then mommy found one for $75 a week, and we went to see her. That place was great! Mommy really liked it and so did I, but the lady smoked and you could smell it in the house. I do not think she smoked in the house when the babies were there, but the house really did not smell to good. Mommy then found another one, and this one too was $75 a week. So mommy then took me to that one so that we could talk to her and see the place. That place was even better, and she does not smoke! I guess she has been in the business for 19 years, and she has a nice little house with a couple of cribs and a bunch of toys! I am not really into the toy thing yet, but mommy seemed happy about it. Daddy has not been to the place yet, but he did call and talk to her and called some references of hers. He was on the phone for a long time with one of them, I guess he was getting the full 19 years of stories. Daddy told mommy to go ahead and sign me up for that place, so I am officially now enrolled in day care. Aunt Jennifer even saw the place and said it was going to be like having a Grandma watch me, I guess that is why the place is called Grandma's Daycare. Yes, you heard me right. I did say Aunt Jennifer even saw the place. Aunt Jennifer flew into town on Thursday afternoon. We all sat around and they played some game called Yahtzee while I watched, or should I say listened since they woke me up throwing those stupid white box looking things covered with dots. I wish they would let me in on their fun games! Until they do, it is just another stupid game that I want to be able to play!!!! Daddy had duty today, so it was girls day out. Me mommy and Aunt Jennifer went to see daddy at work though and picked up some dry cleaning for him on base. Then we went to Grandma's Daycare again to fill out some paperwork I guess. Then to the store to get dinner, and we will not even eat it until tomorrow! I really was looking forward to the taste of refined steak, I have not had that yet. It was just a refined salad for me, but it is at least food. I got lucky for lunch, Jack In The Box, so I can not complain. Aunt Jennifer will be here until Monday afternoon. Most of the time I think we will just be sitting around taking it easy. Aunt Jennifer's friend Kim might be coming down tomorrow, but we do not know yet. It is always great to meet more people, and I can not complain, my popularity is still growing. Friday was a HOT day! I do not know how hot it was, but mommy had to let me lie around without my shirt on. I hope that was a fluke and that it never gets that hot here again. I heard daddy saying something like you haven't seen anything yet. I hope that does not mean what I think it does. I think I am just like daddy, one for the cold weather. This hot stuff is just to uncomfortable. Mommy thinks that the cold is uncomfortable, so who knows what will happen. Minnesota in October sounds good to me though. For my new thing of the week, my laugh is starting to sound better and better. I almost slept through the whole night last night, I did not wake up until 4:00 in the morning. That is about all I can think of off the top of my head. Mommy and daddy made it to stressful of a week and I did not have the energy to try to many new things.
