5/1/1999 - 5/6/1999

Well this has definitely been a slow week for me.  So slow that I figured I would write them today rather than tomorrow.   Not to mention that daddy is going to be a little busy tomorrow taking a 5 to 5 1/2 hour test, so he will not be able to help me write my thoughts.

Over the weekend we went over to a friends house and mommy and daddy played a game for a little while.  I also slept outside for a few hours while mommy and daddy cleaned out the garage.  That was fun, just sitting in my swing on a hot day gently swinging back and fourth creating a cool breeze to keep me comfortable.   Being in the shade helped allot to.

On Wednesday I had to go to the doctors for my 2 month check-up.   I am glad I will never have another one of those!  They stuck me 4 times, twice in each leg!   They claimed I needed some stupid shots to keep me healthy.   What I really need is for those people to quit jabbing things into my body.   Does it ever end?  Before I was even born they were putting things into my body, like that heart monitor that they twisted into my pore little head.  Then mommy delivers me and I get more shots, and now this.  There has to be someone that I can write and complain to, but who?

I was also weighed and measured while at the doctors.  I weighed in at 11 pounds and 15 ounces.  Mommy and daddy have been telling me that I am getting chubby, but I did not believe them.  I guess they have evidence now and I have to admit that I am getting a LITTLE chubby.  Hey, that just means more of me for everyone to love!   As for my height, I am now at 23 1/2 inches.  I have even grown a little too!

On Wednesday night, mommy gave me something new to drink for the first time.  I think she said it was called formula.  Then on Thursday night I was once again given a new treat.  This time mommy fed me some of her milk mixed with rice cereal.   Now that was filling!  I could not believe how tight my little stomach was by the time I had finished eating.  It did not help any though, I still woke up in the middle of the night wanting more food.  I do not know why mommy and daddy think it will be so easy to get me to sleep through the night, but boy they are going to learn.

We will be leaving on Friday to go and see Grandpa and Grandma Sachau for the weekend, and to meet Uncle Bill and Aunt Evelyn for the first time.   On Sunday we will go to brunch with them and Great Grandpa and Great Grandma Sachau, and then off to see Great Grandma Westmoreland, that is if daddy ever calls her to make sure she will be home.

As for the test that daddy is taking tomorrow, I am not sure if I am aloud to say what for, but what the heck.  After all, I am his daughter, and he is not aloud to be mad at me.  Daddy wants to get out of the military in November pretty bad if he can, so he is starting to look for jobs now.  He is having problems finding something that he wants to do for a decent salary.  He did however find one job that he would not mind doing though, and that is what the test is for.  If he passes this test, then he has a bunch of other tests to take to make sure that he will qualify, such as a polygraph and background check.  If he gets hired for this job, then for the first seven months he will go to school full time and make more than he is making right now in the military!   Once done with school, he will get a pay raise of about $600.00 a month and he will then become a San Diego Police Officer.  I sure hope daddy does good on the test tomorrow!

Till next week, bye bye.
